The Camino de Santiago is a network of ancient paths stretching across Europe to Santiago de Compostela, in Galicia.
Along with the via Francigena to Rome and the road to Jerusalem, it is considered one of the three great Christian pilgrimages and has been traversed by pilgrims for over 1000 years.
To celebrate their thirtieth wedding anniversary, David and Trudi Paton spent thirty seven days walking the Camino Frances, from St Jean Pied de Port in southwest France to Santiago de Compostela, in Galicia - a distance of nearly 800 kilometres.
It was to be a journey of discovery - of their inner selves, of their strength in adversity and of their determination to succeed.
