A movie in the same genre of "sparatus" but much more intense. This is the story of the man that was supposed to be crucified, but the people cried out that the Romans should execute Jesus instead. Spared from death, Barabbas (Anthony Quinn) lives a life of hell and persecution and constantly wonders why he should be spared from death instead of Jesus.
